Fair Play Casino Kerkrade Hoofdstraat is celebrating its 35th anniversary!
This year we’re celebrating a special milestone: Fair Play Casino Kerkrade Hoofdstraat is turning 35! On September 6, 1991, Fair Play’s first themed entertainment center—the Fair Play Center “Taj Mahal”—opened on the “ Hoofdstraat .” Now, 35 years later, it’s impossible to imagine the center of Kerkrade without this location.
From the Taj Mahal to Fair Play Casino
The opening of the Fair Play Center “ Kerkrade ” in 1991 marked the beginning of what came to be known as “theme centers.” These were entertainment centers in which the architecture and interior design were fully aligned with a chosen theme. At the , visitors were immersed in the exotic and romantic atmosphere of India.
The selection of games back then looked quite different from what it is today. In addition to various slot machines, you could, for example, play pinball, video games, and even go to a mini-bowling alley.
In the early 2000s, the location—like many other Fair Play locations—was renamed Fair Play Casino. The selection of games also changed over the years. For example, fully automated versions of well-known casino games, including roulette, made their debut.
35 years after it opened, Fair Play Casino Kerkrade Hoofdstraat remains one of Fair Play’s larger locations. The casino is located near the center of Kerkrade. Behind the casino is a spacious parking lot for visitors, accessible via Kloosterraderstraat, where the casino’s entrance is also located.
An anniversary week full of Events
Of course, we’re not going to celebrate such a special anniversary in just one day. That’s why September 19 through 26 will be entirely dedicated to our 35th anniversary. During this anniversary week, we’ll have a different “ event ” for you every day. Together, we’ll make it eight festive days filled with plenty of extra chances to win.
