OPPORTUNITY FOR GUESTS TO EXCLUDE THEMSELVES FROM PLAYING AT FAIR PLAY CASINOS/TAKE A GAMBLING BREAK AT THEIR OWN REQUEST

You can submit a request to take a break from gambling by means of a so-called white list. This is a list that you, as a guest, can request (to protect yourself or on our advice/gentle urging) in order to obtain a location-specific ban from a casino. The white list is preventive/protective in nature and is valid for six months.

OPPORTUNITY FOR GUESTS TO EXCLUDE THEMSELVES FROM GAMBLING BY REGISTERING WITH CRUKS/TAKING A GAMBLING BREAK

THERE ARE TWO WAYS TO REGISTER WITH CRUKS:

If, after various interventions, there is no improvement in your gaming behavior and, following a thorough investigation and personal interview/consultation by the Responsible Gambling Manager, there is reasonable suspicion that you, as a guest, may cause harm to yourself and/or those close to you through excessive participation in games of chance or gambling addiction, the Responsible Gambling Manager will advise you, as a guest, about voluntary exclusion in the Central Register of Excluded Gamblers (CRUKS). The Gaming Authority will be informed of this advice, supported by all registrations from the player intervention file/visit frequencies.

If you are registered with Cruks, you will be excluded from all casinos, gambling halls, and legal gambling sites with a Dutch license. The Gaming Authority will be notified of this recommendation. Fair Play Casino has explicitly chosen in its addiction prevention policy to exclude (high-risk) gamblers from our gambling offerings, not only regionally but immediately nationwide via a Cruks registration.

Would you like to cancel your gambling ban? This is only possible once the first six months of your gambling ban have passed. Not before. If you cancel your gambling ban prematurely, you will be given a cooling-off period of eight days. After eight days, you can permanently cancel your gambling ban by logging in with your DigiD. Do you have multiple nationalities? Enter these in My Gambling Ban. Do you have more than one passport? Enter all your nationalities in Cruks via My Gambling Stop. This ensures that you really cannot gamble during your Gambling Stop. Not even with another passport.Your Gambling Stop will end automatically at the end of your registration period. You do not need to do anything and you will not receive a notification.

If permanent exclusion is necessary, the gambling behavior is such that continuing to gamble elsewhere is not in the best interests of you as a guest and your loved ones. After all, the risky behavior would continue elsewhere and the negative consequences would only increase.

Cruks was set up by the government and its main goal is to combat/reduce gambling addiction. It ensures that guests, whether voluntarily or not, are excluded from all gambling providers. This makes it an extra barrier for problem gamblers. It is then no longer possible to look for other (legal) places to satisfy the 'gambling hunger'. When you are listed in the register as a guest, steps must also be taken to offer you the right help. This is done without obligation and is therefore not mandatory. Ultimately, you are responsible for using the help offered.

VOLUNTARY:

You can find more information and register with Cruks via the websitehttps://cruksregister.nl/. You can choose to register for a minimum of 6 months and a maximum of 99 years. There are two ways to do this:

  • You can register via DigiD; this works immediately.
  • You can register using a paper form. You must print this out, fill it in, and send it by mail. You will be registered after a few days.

We always strive to engage in dialogue with at-risk players and work with them to determine the appropriate next steps. That is why we want guests to voluntarily register themselves based on advice and after receiving information, and certainly with the help of FPC. Exclusion is most effective when guests choose it themselves. If necessary, this can be combined with treatment for gambling addiction. INVOLUNTARY:

As a provider of high-risk games of chance, FPC is obliged to monitor its guests for signs of gambling addiction. If there is a suspicion that a guest may cause harm to themselves or others due to excessive participation or gambling addiction and, after receiving advice from the Responsible Gambling Manager, does not voluntarily register with Cruks, the Responsible Gambling Manager will report this to the Gaming Authority and request that this guest be involuntarily registered with Cruks. In both cases (voluntary or involuntary advice), the Gaming Authority will first conduct its own investigation (using the player intervention file and visit frequency provided) and, after careful consideration, decide on possible registration in the Cruks register. The Gaming Authority will assess the file and contact the guest. This process takes at least 6 weeks. After the final decision, the (involuntary) registration in Cruks will be activated. This will always be for a period of 6 months. See also:https://kansspelautoriteit.nl/voor-zakelijke-aanbieders/uitsluitregister/kennisgeving-problematisch-speelgedrag/

An involuntary registration in the Cruks register can also be requested by someone close to you, someone who has a personal relationship with you as a guest (a third party), for example a spouse, other family member, a court-appointed guardian, curator, or administrator, or at the request of addiction care services. See:https://kansspelautoriteit.nl/veilig-spelen/gokproblemen/gokstop-ander-aanvragen/Loved ones should be aware that the Gaming Authority will inform the guest concerned of the request, including the name of the applicant. In addition, a processing time of at least six weeks should be taken into account.
