ADDICTION PREVENTION POLICY

HELP, INFORMATION PROVISION, TIPS, AND ADDICTION PREVENTION POLICY

Our prevention policy focuses largely on providing information and raising awareness about gambling behavior. That is why we believe it is important to offer guests sufficient tools to promote responsible gambling and provide information to prevent risky gambling behavior. Our casinos offer various free information leaflets, including the gambling limit card (Know Your Limit!) in different languages (German, English, and French), as a tool for guests and if gambling threatens to get out of hand.

The gambling limit card helps guests to gamble responsibly and safely. It provides insight into their own gambling behavior and helps them to stick to personal agreements about gambling. Guests can use the card to indicate how often and for how long they want to gamble and how much they are allowed to spend. The card is filled in during each visit, so that guests can easily check whether they are adhering to the limits they have set. Awareness of these personal limits helps to ensure that boundaries are not exceeded. When folded, the card is the same size as a business card, making it easy and discreet to carry around.

We offer various anonymous self-tests on our website, and all available information is presented in a clear and understandable manner both on the website and physically (at the Responsible Gambling Display). This enables guests to take timely measures and seek help. If necessary or if the guest so desires, he or she can view the prevention policy, or we can direct them to our Speelbewust website. Information can also be provided in writing upon request.

The gambling limits card features logos from our partners Mondriaan, Pas op Gamen en Gokken (Beware of Gaming and Gambling), and Open Over Gokken (Open About Gambling).

By scanning the QR code on the responsible gaming flyer, you will be taken directly to the FPC's responsible gaming page.

All information on the Responsible Gambling page and this consumer version has been compiled with the help of our partners (Mondriaan and PoGG). We work together to prevent gambling addiction, but above all, we work together with you, our guest.

ADDICTION PREVENTION POLICY

FPC actively collaborates with addiction experts from the Mondriaan Foundation and experts by experience from Pas op Gamen en Gokken (Beware of Gaming and Gambling). Both organizations are closely involved in evaluating the addiction prevention policy, and their recommendations are fully incorporated. The policy is periodically evaluated to identify potential improvements and refinements.

With its addiction prevention policy, FPC aims to fulfill its legal duty of care to the maximum extent possible in order to prevent gambling addiction and limit the risk of addiction. The policy is in line with the Dutch system of addiction care.

The Netherlands Gambling Authority (Ksa) has published new guidance for slot machine halls and casinos (gaming halls). This guidance helps operators and employees to fulfill their duty of care towards players in concrete terms. An animation has been developed to explain this in an accessible way. It shows step by step what the duty of care entails and how employees can apply it in practice. Watch the animation below and discover how to guide players responsibly and with care.
